TWO ABANDONED SISTERS Let me tell you about two little Indian sister girls, Marvely and Jocelin that had been living on their own in an abondoned house that had no roof and no windows. They had been there for a long time and trying to make it all by themselves. It was brought to our attention and one of our workers went to check out the story that was told to us. We found the two sister girls, 10 and 6 years old. Their mother had abondonded them due to drugs and the father is in prison. The grandparents on both sides of the family was unable to take responsibility due to financial hardship. Imagine how alone... hungry and unloved they must have felt. We have now taken them into our hearts and newly built children's home at Las Coronitas. They now are given love and care 24/7. We have been working on the orphanage for some time and now now these two little Indian girls now have a place to live and call home. Now, for the first time, both girls are attending school, and they have a warm, loving home, nutritious food, and clothing. They little lives are being totally transformed. American Indian Children Hunger Fund is committed to help Indian children and has added 24 more children ages from 19 months to 16 years at the orphanage. Our goal is to be able to provide for 130 children who have no one to take care of them. They are "forgotten" children.
