The Story of "Lotus Flower" Once upon a time there was a beautiful baby girl born in a small village in China. Her parents loved her very much. Unfortunately, they were unable to take care of her. So, they wrapped their beautiful baby in a warm blanket, attached a note to her saying she needed a loving home and took her to the train station. Soon, a stranger found her and took her to a nearby orphanage. There were nannies there to take care of her and, most of all, love her. They named her Fan Lian Lian which means "Lotus Flower". The Lotus Flower begins its life in murky waters but with time and care grows into a lovely flower. And so it was with Fan Lian Lian. On the other side of the world there was a couple, Carol and Gary, who wanted a little girl very much and had decided to adopt a baby. With the help of many people Fan Lian Lian, Carol and Gary were brought together.
