"It was an experience I will never forget! Amazing, colorful, wonderful and life-changing event for me," said 12-year old Carmen Ortiz from Louisiana. "The festival was truly a 'once-in-a-lifetime experience ... The awards ceremony was clearly the highlight of the week, and of Dianna's life, probably only to be rivaled in the future by her prom night and wedding day!" wrote Deborrah T. Mazzone, parent of New York's delegate to the World Children's Festival organized by the International Child Art Foundation (ICAF). The ICAF hosts the Festival on the National Mall every four years. The festival has become the "Olympics" of children's imagination and creativity. Children showcase their artistic, musical and creative talents, and MC the event. They nominate individuals and companies for the World Children's Awards and select the world leaders for whom they would co-create masterpieces.
