Felicity, age thirteen, is waiting. She entered foster care several years ago due to severe abuse in her birth home. As a result of this trauma, Felicity struggles with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. With the help of medication and weekly therapy, Felicity has been able to deal with her grief and improve her self-esteem. A talented musician, Felicity has a passion for playing the cello and performs in her school orchestra. She is considered gifted academically and is curious about the world around her. When asked what she would like to do when she grows up, Felicity says, "I would like to do something that helps people."
