June 28, 2010 I wish I could tell you that America's child prostitutes are better off today than in years past, but I can't. It's simply not true. I need your help to rescue America's children from prostitution because if we don't save them, NO ONE ELSE WILL! Although there is so much talk in the media today about domestic human sex trafficking of children- — it is still only talk! We have tried repeatedly to reach the so-called shelters that other organizations claim they have in place for American child prostitutes. But no one answers their telephones, and there are no immediate beds available for the multitudes of desperate children trying to escape violent pimps. Children of the Night is on the job all day, every day, offering help to our American children right here at home. Our 24-hour, nationwide hotline is always there to help, our home offers an on-site school, case management, and appropriate responsible adult supervision to help our children achieve healthy adult lives. The accomplishments of our children are living proof of the magic that occurs when resources are available. Just in the last couple of months, one of our shelter residents, Shelley, placed third in the Los Angeles County Science Fair. Another, Annie, qualified as a Los Angeles County Junior Lifeguard after completing months of training. Please consider helping us rescue more American children from the ravages of prostitution.
