Little 30 month old Saita arrived at the Feed My People Children's Charity medical clinic in Monrovia, Liberia, suffering extreme third degree malnutrition with symptoms of malaria, no appetite, and her muscles had wasted away to the weight of a six month old baby. She had severe stomach pains and the skin was peeling off her body. The doctor gave her medicines and antibiotics, powdered milk and wheat grass vitamins to take home. When Saita left the clinic, the doctor never expected to see her alive again. One month later, she was back at the clinic, still unable to walk, but alive. Over the next year, the doctor instructed her father to crush and mix seven wheat grass vitamins with her meals daily. Today, thanks to the generosity of our Feed My People donors, Saita is happy, healthy, and full of life.
